Whether backpacking around the Northwest, photographing the outdoors, or playing with his son, Ryan's days always reflect his zest for life. With the birth of his first born, Ryan was inspired to ensure a better future for the next generation. It was this realization that led Ryan to create For The Next and work to repair his impact on the environment.

Conceived during the final days of his MBA studies, For The Next is a reflection of Ryan's personal declaration to give 1% of his income to support reversing his environmental impact. Inspired by the work of Yvon Chouinard and his creation of One Percent For The Planet, Ryan realized if millions of consumers gave 1% of their income to environmental causes they would have a significant impact.

For the last eight years Ryan has led user experience teams for high-tech companies. When not in the office, Ryan and his wife enjoy exploring new places and traveling the world, having recently visited Denali National Park in Alaska and Belize. Ryan has a BS in Software Engineering from Oregon Tech and a MBA from George Fox University.
