Troy's deep connection and respect to the outdoors was developed by his family at a young age. Hiking trips in the Eagle Cap Wilderness of eastern Oregon were a summer must as a child. His wonder for the outdoors continues to grow each time he is able to 'pack light and go'. As a biology major at Portland State University, Troy graduated in 1998 and started an environmental consulting firm with a fellow graduate in hopes of making a difference. Having worked on various stream bank restoration and wetland delineation projects, Troy cites being one of the founding participants of establishing the first native seed bank for the city of Portland as one of his favorites. As a self described life long learner, Troy enrolled in the MBA program at George Fox University where he met Ryan Russell, founder of For The Next. For The Next instantly connected with Troy's ethic that we should all set out to leave the Earth in a better state of health then it was before we came into being. Troy hopes you will join with For The Next so you can see your contributions make a difference in not only your life, but also the lives of future generations across the world. Troy has a BS in Biology from Portland State University and an MBA from George Fox University. |
